Alta Vista

Facade installation is closing in on completion at Ibero’s 6-story, 76 unit building on the corner of Franklin and Pleasant. Designed by InEx Architecture to incorporate design elements from nearby buildings including St. Joseph’s Church and the Rochester Savings Bank, the building is a presence at the intersection. Hamilton Stern is managing construction for the 82,000sf building and grounds.

In addition to being the first greater-than-five-story building downtown since the Sagamore, Alta Vista is also the first large, all electric building downtown. Solar panels will be installed on the roof and the building is expected to meet passive standards.

The 76 units will be joined by shared community space, a 49 space parking lot, and a new office for the Landmark Society of Western New York to manage St. Joseph’s Park next door. Completion is expected later this year.
