Citygate
Since the death of Anthony Costello in 2016, Citygate ran largely on inertia from Costco. But in the last 2 years, the new development team at Streamline Real Estate Partners has successfully taken the site in a different direction from earlier plans. No longer a residential-heavy, mixed-use mecca on the canal, the site is going maximally suburban with a series of drive-thrus and parking lots. Time will tell if any of the original vision survives the build out of the rest of the site.
Currently under construction in this update are an expansion of the Clear Choice dental office, the expansion of the Costco gas pumps, the Chipotle, the Chick-Fil-A, and the dual-branded AC Marriott/Element by Westin Hotel fronting the canal. Recently completed builds on site include the first part of the aforementioned dentist office, and the drive-thru for NexTier Bank.
